I get a huge variety of work that asks me to hand carve messages.
This is known as relief carving and I get asked to do it on almost any wooden object you can think; plaques, signs, posts, wooden statues, memorials and all sorts.
The two plaques in the above are about as small as I can relief carve letters.
It gets much harder to carve letters smaller than this, and more importantly the text becomes to hard to read.
